Why are no prices visible?

Please register first free of charge. Afterwards you will see the whole range with prices and you can order directly according to your wishes.

What happens if I do not renew my subscription?

Before your subscription expires, we will contact you several times by email.


  • If you wish to renew your subscription, simply pay the invoice using your chosen payment method.
  • If you do not want to renew your subscription, you still have enough time to backup your data from our data centers.
Are there any limits on the files I can upload?

There are no restrictions. You can upload all possible file types.

With the web browsers, the upload is supported up to 10 GB per file. If you don't have enough free space on your account, you can always extend it under "Change subscription".

Can I upload large files to MyStorBox?

Yes, with the web browser you can upload large files up to 10 GB directly to MyStorBox.


With the MyStorBox-Client you can also upload files larger than 10 GB.
Note that uploading large files may take some time depending on your internet connection. Make sure that a stable internet connection is available.

Can I share a file or folder?

You can very easily share individual files or folders with your friends without login.

Additionally, you have the possibility to set permissions and expiration date for sharing.

With Share Overview you have your shared data under control at all times.

Can I download larger files with WebDAV under Windows?

The WebDAV protocol sets size restrictions for uploading and downloading individual files from Windows. While the limits for uploading are generously set at 2 GB per individual file, Windows limits the size of individual files for downloading to 47 MB.
If you try to download larger single files, you will receive an error message (Error 0x800700DF). This restriction can be removed in the Windows Registry and the maximum value of 4 GB allowed for WebDAV can be set.


Increase 50 MB WebDAV file limit

  1. Press Windows + R, type regedit in the open box, and then click Ok.
  2. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\ from the drop-down structure in the left pane.
  3. Double click FileSizeLimitInBytes in the right pane.
  4. Click the Decimal bubble under the Base section.
  5. In the Value data box, type 4294967295, and then click Ok.
  6. Reboot your computer.



With the web browser, the upload is supported up to 10 GB per file.

How many files can be stored per folder?

Each folder may not contain more than 10'000 files or subfolders in total. With the paid version, the limit per folder is 20'000 files or subfolders. You can store more files by splitting them into multiple folders.


Increase Windows 1'000 files limit (for displaying more than 1'000 files)

  1. Press Windows + R, type regedit in the open box, and then click Ok.
  2. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\ from the drop-down structure in the left pane.
  3. Double click FileAttributesLimitInBytes in the right pane.
  4. Click the Decimal bubble under the Base section.
  5. In the Value data box, type 20000000, and then click Ok.
  6. Reboot your computer.
Can I synchronize the data automatically?

Yes, MyStorBox Sync synchronizes the selected data between your MyStorBox account and the computer. This way you always have the latest versions of all data at hand.


It works like this:

  • The synchronization is done to the MyStorBox account completely automatically. As soon as something has changed, for example when a file or folder has been added or an existing file has been edited or deleted, MyStorBox Sync updates these changes on all devices on which you are logged in.
  • As soon as there is an active internet connection, the data is updated in the background. If you are offline, the data will be synchronized automatically as soon as the device is back online and MyStorBox Sync is started.
  • Select the sync direction for each folder during setup.
Can I recover files that I accidentally deleted?

Yes, deleted data is automatically moved to the recycle bin for 30 days. So you can restore any data yourself at any time.


If data was also deleted in the recycle bin, it is still available for 28 days in our emergency backup.

Please contact us if you would like to restore your data.

Can I use the same account from multiple locations simultaneously?

Yes, very many simultaneous logins are possible.

To prevent abuse, the maximum number of simultaneous logins is limited to 200 (50 for the free account).

Can I use multiple accounts from the same location simultaneously?

Yes, you can open multiple accounts at the same time. However, you must open a new private window (incognito window) for each login in the browser. Alternatively, you can open different browsers.

When using WebDAV, it's usually possible to set up multiple connection profiles in your client that can be used simultaneously. If you use Windows Explorer and can't change the saved account credentials, follow these steps to delete them:

  • Open StartRun
  • Enter rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr and click OK
  • Select the entry for webdav.mystorbox.de and click Remove
  • Logout or reboot Windows to apply the change
Can I reset the download limit on the share link?

Yes, you can reset the download limit. Log in to your account as an administrator. Then switch to the Share Overview menu. Click the icon in the "Downloads" column to the right of the corresponding share link. The downloads will be reset and up to 2000 downloads can be performed on this shared link again.

Is it possible to access MyStorBox over FTP?

No, but you can use our MyStorBox Client or WebDAV. This gives you similar functions to the FTP offer. If you are interested in a normal FTP storage, it is worth taking a look at our Premium FTP offers.

Installation of the "MyStorBox-Client" on Arch-Linux (AntergOS)

Follow the steps below to install the MyStorBox client on Arch Linux (AntergOS).

  1. Install the package dpkg from the AUR sources of Arch-Linux.
  2. Download MyStorBox-client Linux x64 (DEB)
  3. Give the Debian package of the "MyStorBox-client" root privileges
